Shovel ready, shovel ready, shovel ready….this whole notion of government creating jobs has always been a farce. These “jobs” are always the same thing: dig a hole, put water in hole, drain water out of hole, cover up hole. Anyone will tell you that infrastructure jobs, for example, take years and years of planning before a shovel hits earth.
And what is with Barry’s attempt at precious prose (italics added): “Shovels are breaking ground and cranes dot the sky.” Cranes dot the sky? Seriously, Hemingway?
